Stenopus Greco

Stenopus Greco is a little holiday home originated by turning some old seafaring houses built with tuff stone, the typical stone of this area of Sicily. It is located in Porticello, a seafaring village of Santa Flavia town, very near to Palermo (only 12 Km). As the others local houses, it has different levels of elevation (4) and it has 8 rooms or mini-apartments: all are very spacious, coloured, provided with ethnic furniture and every comfort. Some of them have names of the women of the family (Annamaria, Iolanda, Rosina, Giuseppina, Venera); the others have names of some colours (the Red one, the Green one and the Blue one). Each room is provided with a big double bed and an orthopedic double sofa bed, which is very comfortable, so it can accommodate up to 4 people. Every of them has satellitar TV, bathroom with shower, fireless hair dryer and courtesy service, a minibar, an equipped kitchenette, air conditioning and heating systems. We thought to disabled people too, providing the room “Iolanda” with the necessary equipment. For long stays, the linen is changed once a week. Stenopus Greco overlooks the little port, from where every day many fishing boats leave. Here fishing is the most important economic activity. Some rooms are on the seaside and others have the view over the nice village. All the rooms have little windows or balconies. At the highest floor there is a little splendid terrace, closed with big windows, very bright, from where it is possible to enjoy a beautiful overview. WI-FI Internet connection is free in all the hotel. The atmosphere is homely, with wooden furniture, coloured walls and there are handmade ceramics of Santo Stefano di Camastra. Our staff is friendly and helpful. We welcome guests in Italian and English languages. Stenopus Greco is surrounded by typical restaurants where it’s possible to taste Sicilian dishes prepared with fish, vegetables and cous cous. It is possible to park the car near Stenopus, abroad. The area is very quiet.
