The downtown setting of this hotel places a wide array of attractions, shops, and dining options close at hand. Plus, those guests who wanted to visit Atlantic Beach found it was just 17 miles or a half-hour drive from the property.
There are some issues with this hotel, but it does, at least, come cheap. The low rates are an appealing factor to many guests, who also appreciate not having to find extra for essential amenities like parking and Internet access.
Although there are a few exceptions, most guests found the staff at the hotel were friendly. They are not always able to assist with room concerns, but are otherwise fairly helpful and do, at least, come across as sympathetic.
Housekeeping appears to be an issue at this hotel. Not only were many guests dissatisfied with the general cleanliness of their rooms, others report specific problems that indicate that rooms are not even cleaned before arrival sometimes. Beer bottles, used toiletries, and rubbish have all been found.
In addition to poor housekeeping, there are also some problems with on-going maintenance. The bathrooms, in particular, are often described in terms that suggest they are falling apart. Plus, fixtures are found to be loose, TV remotes don't always work, and some phones are lacking connecting cords.
Some guests found the breakfast served at the hotel to be adequate, but others found the selection of available items was far too small. Furthermore, breakfast seems to finish quite early, even at the weekends. Don't have a lie in if you expect to enjoy a satisfying breakfast.
