The majority of guests at the Super 8 South Padre Island rate the standard of the rooms highly. A couple of minor issues arise from time to time but the most part, rooms are found in clean condition. Beds are described as comfortable. Plus, the rooms are adequately spacious.
There's little you won't like about being within a few minute's walk of beautiful white sand beaches. Guests also comment that there is an excellent array of dining options near the hotel. Many other attractions are within an easy walking distance of the property.
Most guests found the room rates at this hotel offered good value for money, especially when you consider the amount of facilities and amenities that are included in the cost. You may have to pay for Wi-Fi and parking at other hotels, but not here.
A fair number of guests describe the breakfast menu at the Super 8 South Padre Island as a little too modest for their taste (and appetite). The Texas-shaped waffles are a treat but just one of a selection of carb-based food items. Very little protein is available.
It's likely that you may find the odd bug in your room or spot them around the hotel. To be fair, it doesn't sound like the hotel is overrun. It is more a case of it being par for the course when you stay on a semi-tropical island.
The free Wi-Fi failed to impress a number of guests. The most frequent complaint is that it was difficult to connect to in the first place, although some guests also mention that when they were able to access the service, it was slow and intermittent.
