The staff have been described as being helpful and friendly without being obtrusive and overbearing. Guests enjoyed the early evening social hour which they said was a good opportunity to relax and socialise with fellow occupants.
The majority of the guests said that they were impressed with the extensive selection of food at breakfasts which included both hot and cold items. Cooked dishes were described as being tasty and well prepared whilst those with special dietary requirement
There is no lift on the premises and guests whose rooms were on the second and third floors said that they found it quite a struggle having to carry their suitcases up the stairs and also found it tiring climbing the narrow staircase on a daily basis.
The inn overlooks a rather busy road and quit a few guests mentioned that they were disturbed by traffic noise both late in the evening and early mornings. Those whose rooms were close to the kitchen also objected to being able to hear staff preparing the
Guests reported several plumbing-related problems including weak pressure which made the water come out in a trickle and also slow draining sinks and showers.
