Hotel The Lodge At Big Falls (Punta Gorda, Belize)

The Lodge at Big Falls is situated on the banks of the Rio Grande river. The property is located on a meander of the river with almost a mile of river frontage and facing the Maya Mountains to the north west. The pool and river tubing around the lodge are popular on-site activities. We are an intimate family run lodge with six thatched cottage style cabanas and two constructed from tropical hardwoods. Each cabana has a queen size double and either an extra single bed or full size bunks for family accommodation. The three hardwood cabanas have air conditioning and a kitchenette for families or longer stays. The Lodge has a full service restaurant and bar. We are also a licensed tour operator offering a wide range of tours and activities that include a mix of natural history (birds, animals, butterflies and orchids), adventure (kayaking, snorkeling, caving and hiking) and cultural encounters with the local Kek’chi Maya and Garifuna people. Lubaantun and Nim Li Punit Maya sites are within a fifteen minute drive.
