The Lodge at Buckberry Creek is set away from the busier side of the town in a serene spot. It is a very convenient place to base yourself if you are planning to head to Great Smoky Mountain National Park. What's more, the view from this property is absolutely breathtaking.
Staff here are wonderful. They consistently ask if there is anything they can do to help, and genuinely seem to care about making your stay as enjoyable as possible. While being friendly and attentive, they are careful not to be overbearing and will give you all the privacy you require.
The breakfast at this hotel is really decent. Both the free continental version and the paid hot option are good. Everything is well prepared and there are plenty of choices.
Guestrooms at The Lodge at Buckberry Creek can be quite loud, as the soundproofing doesn't seem to be very good here. If the people above are moving around, you'll hear it. You'll certainly get noise from the neighboring rooms too and possibly from the air-conditioning units. If you're near the road then you may experience sounds from the traffic as well.
Because meals at this hotel are on the pricier end of the scale, you would expect them the be outstanding, so it's quite disappointing to learn that evening dinners aren't especially great. The value for money is certainly questionable.
While most guestrooms offer a stunning vista, if you are unlucky, you might not get quite as pleasant an outlook.
