The Midland Manchester is one of the oldest established hotels in Manchester city centre. It opened in 1903 and was built by the Midland railway Company to serve the now disused Midland Central railway station. It is now a part of the Qhotels chain. There are 312 rooms each of which are air conditioned and have satellite TV, telephone, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, trouser press and radio. All of the rooms also have an en suite bathroom with both bath and shower and wireless high speed internet access is also available. The hotel has a bar and two restaurants, one of which has been awarded with two AA Rosettes for its quality of food. There is also a gym, indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Turkish steam bath, solarium and a squash court. The reception operates 24 hours a day and can arrange room service. The hotel does not have its own car park but it can arrange parking at a location nearby for a daily fee of £16.50.
