So say the lyrics of 'Oklahoma!' This hotel has a stylish, European feel to it and they've created a blend of irreplaceable vintage with chic modern. The rooms are designed with much thought and decorated to a very high spec. Appliances are of a very high standard as are beds, bed linen, towels etc.
The staff are great and very attentive. Guests are treated as individuals, rather than sheep ... and this is a refreshing change.
Starting with breakfast; menus at the Chaz Restaurant are imaginative and beautifully presented. Accompanied by impressive selections of wines, beers and lagers, this fashionable restaurant is a real bonus for guests.
Standards at the Chaz Restaurant are patchy. If staying for any length of time, it won't be long before you get itchy feet and want to try somewhere else. Choices are mind boggling, but good starting points include the nearby Capital Grill and Kona Grill restaurants.
The worrying rodent here is the avaricious hotel! In the rooms, it's easy to be lulled into thinking that displayed and unpriced bottled water, packaged biscuits etc; are 'freebies', just like the teas, coffees and toiletries. Wrong! You'll choke when you see them on your hotel account and they could prove to be the most expensive nibbles you've ever encountered.
The sink is inconveniently in the bedroom, not the bathroom and the bathroom itself is small and very tight. Outlooks vary; those overlooking the Plaza are best.
