Hotel The Red Lion Inn by Chef & Brewer Collection (Sheffield, United Kingdom)

The Inn was easy to find as it is located on a major roundabout. It’s situation, so close to the M1 junction 31 gave guests clear landmarks to find the building.

Guests had many different ways to praise the rooms of the Red Lion Inn. Some loved their large size, others loved their newly refurbished décor, and still others enjoyed the fact that the rooms were dog friendly.

The staff of the Red Lion Inn was found to be friendly and helpful. Guests found that the welcoming staff couldn’t do enough to help them get settled and provided guests with information about the activities in the area.

Located just off the M1, some of the rooms were more than a little noisy. The rooms on the corner of the building seemed to be the worst offenders. Guests who stayed in rooms on the opposite side of the building had no problems with noise.

Several guests found that service was incredibly slow in the restaurant, waiting upwards of 30 minutes to be served a breakfast that was overcooked.

Several guests found that their room had issues with dampness. The paint was bubbled and peeling and the bathroom grout was dark and dingy. The manager responded to one of the guests and admitted that there had been a water problem and that it was being a
