The Tokyo Station hotel is described as beautiful and grand with beautiful decor done up in the continental style, lovely long corridors and lots of attention to the details. There are fine dining options, causal eateries and lovely bars for guests where guests can relax and enjoy a drink and meal. Guests enjoyed the high tech toilets as well.
Close to the station's north exit, the hotel has a private elevator and entrance to the station. The proximity to the station not only connects to all other parts of town, the hotel is close to several other important tourist attractions as well.
The staff at The Tokyo Station hotel is very courteous and provides exceptional service according to many guests who said they were treated as honoured guests rather than paying visitors. They help get luggage to the station platform and according to some guests did not expect to be tipped.
Some guests thought that the hotel is grand and luxurious but expensive with it. One or two guests mentioned that they were asked to make a cash deposit upon Check-in.
Though rooms are sound proofed, some noises do tend to carry inside. Guests mentioned hearing the rumble of the rain and some of the noises from the station inside the rooms.
Some guests appeared to have had difficulties communicating because some of the staff lacked adequate English proficiency. Also there were few English channels on the TV, it was pointed out.
