Guests have described Virginian Lodge Jackson Hole as exuding plenty of Old West character and 1960s charm. The property is an older one but has been beautifully refurbished. Although the amenities are not exactly state-of-the-art, the guestrooms are large and spacious with rustic decors and modern bathrooms. Guests especially love the laundromat as well as the hot tub and Jacuzzi which they say provide a perfect opportunity for relaxation.
According to guests the staff here is very warm and friendly. The front desk staff is highly efficient and professional and handle guest check-ins and checkouts fast and with minimum hitches. The wait staff in the restaurant and bar are very attentive and obliging.
The location of this hotel a mere five-minute drive from downtown Jackson Hole makes it easy for guests to access shopping outlets and fine restaurants in the town. Despite the proximity to the highway guests say this place is amazingly quiet most of the time.
Virginian Lodge Jackson Hole has its own unique rustic charms. Guests have however reported that the dated amenities and outmoded furniture are not part of these. Furthermore, several guests have complained of having to put up with musty odors in the rooms. Other have reported that the hotel attempts to cover up the odors using sprays which only aggravates the problem.
The laundromat here closes a bit too early and several guests feel the hotel should consider extending operating hours for the facility.
Although most nights here are serene and quiet, guests have reported that on some nights drunk noisy guests interrupt the peace at night.
