There is a subway just outside the door and other stops just a few minutes' walk away. It's close to Millennium Park, the Art Institute and there are a wealth of restaurants and stores all within walking distance.
The breakfast menu offers a good choice of dishes and the food served at other meals is equally excellent. There is a Happy Hour in the rooftop bar where guests can enjoy expertly made cocktails and enjoy stunning views.
The staff are extremely welcoming. They're also professional and polite and go out of their way to ensure that the hotel's guests feel at home and well looked after. They are also a wealth of knowledge about things to do and see in the city and locality.
As is the case for many hotels situated in the center of cities, theWit's lower rooms can suffer from some noise pollution from the busy traffic on the streets outside.
There is a nightclub attached to the rooftop area and this is very popular with a younger crowd in large groups. These come to dance and party, usually at weekends. However, this means they tend to return to their rooms in the small hours of the morning and disturb other guests' sleep. Higher floors may also suffer from noise pollution from the music in the club.
While the accommodation is undoubtedly well designed, some of the rooms are just beginning to get a little tired and show some wear and tear.
