    Convenient location.

    A great place to stay, particularly if visiting places such as the Kansas Expo Center. There are hardly any restaurants within walking distance - but the on-site services are very good and very reasonable priced.

    Dodgy WiFi.

    There are router problems which mean that, sometimes, there's no WiFi at all … in your room.

    Not very clean.

    There's an accumulation of dust in the rooms. Corridors are no better and littered with long-standing rubbish. A re-appraisal of cleaning routines is obviously very long overdue. Also, rooms are now somewhat dated and in dire need of upgrading. The hotel is built on the site of the old state fairgrounds … but, there's not much fun at this fair. Also, apart from cleanliness issues, you are really stuck here. There's nothing else within walking distance.

    A terrible Atrium noise.

    The multi-floor Atrium Bar is a popular meeting place for the noisiest people in town. Out for a good time, this is ‘the' place to go. Not so good, though, if you are here on business or just needing a good night's sleep.  Either get ear plugs or insist on a room that is nowhere near this bar. It's not just bar noise, though. For some reason, best known to themselves, hotel owners have elected for a very loud elevator that ‘dings' very loudly with delight as it succeeds in reaching its floor destination. Not very uplifting if you are in a room nearby.
