The Trapp Family Lodge features three restaurants, – The Dining Room, The Lounge, and DeliBakery – all of which serve authentic European-style food with their own unique style. The Lodge also has its own Wine Cellar and von Trapp Brewing on-site. The Trapp Family Lodge is close to local wineries and scenic hiking trails. The village of Stowe is also nearby, with its boutique shops and restaurants.

The Trapp Family Lodge is set in beautiful mountainous surroundings and guests who have stayed here enjoyed both the scenic views and the outdoor activities that this setting affords. Many guests enjoyed hiking, mountain biking, and rock climbing during their stay.
Most guests were impressed with the rooms at this unique accommodation. There are a number of different types of room to choose from, but each is spacious and comfortable, with plenty of old-world charm. Guests particularly enjoyed room features such as the large living area, fireplace, and balcony, as well as the fact that each suite is situated a good distance from the other, offering plenty of privacy.
The staff at the Trapp Family Lodge are said to be extremely personable and helpful, with many previous guests commenting on how friendly and professional they are. Guests also had high praise for the food at the Lodge, which is said to be fresh and delicious. Much of the ingredients used across the Lodge's three restaurants comes straight from the on-site farm. The Lodge's own beer is also said to be excellent.
Some guests felt that certain activities and amenities were a little too expensive, with The Dining Room restaurant being singled out as being overpriced, despite many reporting that the food is of a high standard.
While most guests enjoyed the Trapp Family Lodge's European style and old-world charm, others felt that the property could do with an update in some areas. Some felt that the decor in their room was old-fashioned, while others report of a few minor maintenance issues that need some attention.
