positive:
Pool area is most agreeable
The pleasant leisure area, with its kidney-shaped pool, glass walls and timbered ceiling is a very agreeable place to enjoy a dip and wind down. The pool is a pretty decent size too so, contrary to most other budget hotels, you can actually do some swimming during your stay here!
positive:
On-site restaurant hits the spot
Tasty, well presented meals delivered with a smile – exactly what you want from a hotel restaurant. The prices are very reasonable too.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Accommodations look a little tired
It is an unfortunate fact that many of the guest rooms here are equipped with furnishings which look like they’ve seen far better days. Moreover, some of the carpets look like they’ve been here since the 1980s. Nothing a tactical refurb wouldn’t sort out though.
negative:
Irritating in-room environmental controls
Many disgruntled visitors have drawn attention to the fact the heating and air conditioning units in the guest rooms are either over-zealous (heating) or very noisy (air conditioning). Some guests were unfortunate enough to experience both.
negative:
Hotel is quite far from tourist areas
This hotel is advertised as being close to downtown Kingston. The fact of the matter is however that the city centre is actually the best part of five miles away. Something to bear in mind if you’re hoping to see the sights without doing too much driving.
