Situated on Long Street right in the heart of the beautiful city of Cape Town, the Urban Chic offers luxury accommodation and access to many local attractions.
The twenty guest rooms feature subtle décor and a mixture of African mahogany and honeyed Spanish marble. Each room features and en-suite bathroom and is fitted with air-conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a safety deposit box.
Guests can enjoy a massage or rent a bicycle to explore the heart of the city. The 24-hour reception desk can arrange tour information, currency exchange and babysitting services. Shuttle services are available at an additional fee.
Guests can take in views of Long Street and Table Mountain from the on-site restaurant which serves breakfast and a light lunch. The Bar-Lounge serves a range of beverages.
The popular Clifton Beaches are a short drive from the Urban Chic and guests can take a stroll through the eclectic Cape Malay Quarter.
There is so much to do right around the hotel. There are so many restaurants and stores to choose from and you can walk almost everywhere. There is a city tour bus that takes you around Cape Town which you can get onto just down the road.
The staff take great care of you during your stay, they are always willing to go the extra mile to make sure that you are comfortable. You are made to feel very welcome here.
It is clear that the staff take pride in this hotel as the cleaning staff do a fantastic job of cleaning your room to a very high standard. The rooms are beautiful and you can even see Table Mountain from some of them.
Noisy at night.
This part of the city is very lively and there are many clubs and restaurants around the hotel which can make it impossible to sleep before 3am. You may want to bring earplugs with you or request the quietest room during the booking process.
Not the best restaurant.
There are so many restaurants near the hotel that you should try rather than eating at the hotel restaurant. The food is not that great, the pastries are often stale and the portions are really small. You can get a great meal for less money at a local restaurant.
Although most of the hotel is quite modern, the rooms have old box-style TV sets, many without a remote. The channel choices are very limited and so the chances of finding something good to watch are rather slim.
