Tucked in the jungle, the Viceroy Riviera Maya offers an intimate, private hotel experience away from the crowds. Quite a few guests who have stayed here couldn’t help but comment that the property offers a peaceful setting that makes everybody feel as though they are in their own private world.
Creative and fresh cuisine at both La Marea and the Coral Grill and Bar get rave reviews for the quality and originality. Diners also add that the service at both places is impeccable and that all of the dishes are beautifully plated.

While the hotel has a reputation for being a peaceful retreat, there have been instances where guests have complained they heard noise from the neighboring hotel. This typically happens when there is a DJ spinning at the pool, and not on a regular basis.
No huge signs and a sort of hidden entrance have made it challenging for some travelers to find the hotel when they were driving in for the first time.
