The traditionally furnished rooms and suites are comfortable and spacious. All have a queen-size bed, flat-screen TV with Foxtel, and an en-suite bathroom with complimentary toiletries. Some have a jacuzzi bath. Facilities and services offered at Victoria House Motor Inn include free on-site parking, barbecue facilities, self-service laundry and luggage storage. There is limited room service. Free Wi-Fi is available in some rooms. The hotel has a conference room, and wedding parties can be catered for. You will be given a warm welcome by the staff and find they offer a good level of service. Guests consistently say they could not have done more for them and that they were happy to help with any requests that were made.
A comfortable place to stay Rooms are spacious, said to be well laid out and clean, and guests say that the beds and pillows are very comfortable. Bathrooms are also large and have good showers and complimentary bathroom products. Guests find that they enjoy a comfortable stay at this property.
Guests like that rooms are traditionally decorated with period style furniture. They say that it adds a touch of character and that the hotel has a boutique feel, something which makes a nice change from the often bland rooms they have found at some other hotels.
The Wi-Fi service does not reach all guests rooms in the hotel. This was a disappointment for some guests who wanted to use it, although it was noted as a positive point that it is free.
The property is located near a road and some guests could hear noise from the traffic. Due to the proximity of the road the windows on that side of the building are screened and, while guests appreciated why this was necessary, they would have liked to be able to have fresh air coming in.
It is worth bearing in mind that there is no lift in this hotel, so if you have any trouble getting up and down stairs, or any trouble with carrying luggage, then this might not be the hotel for you.
