Hotel Viva Wyndham V Heavens (Playa Dorada, Dominican Republic)

Regularly cleaned with fresh towels and bedding daily; rooms are spacious and with very comfortable beds. Bathrooms are exceptional with ceramic tiles and granite surfaces. The shower is great.

You can opt in or out of numerous, ever changing, activities as you wish. 'Whatever floats your boat'. It's your holiday. There's lots for kids to do as well and unusually, there's emphasis on activities for kids in their teens who, elsewhere but not here, have been known to get bored on holiday!

Very pleasant, friendly and helpful, the make sure that the holiday goes with a swing. Incidentally; generally, prices for food and drinks are reasonable and not over the top.

It's not quite 'Cloud 9', there are some disappointments. The restaurants and menus which read very well, fall well below expectations and create a bit of a blip in the enjoyment of the holiday. It's not disaster, but is just OK and you expect better here. Oh! Drinks are warm, rather than iced.

The public beach is a big let down and not very clean or inviting at all. Disappointment continues on any local shopping trips. Shops are mundane and lacking in imagination and value.

The pool is small for the capacity of the complex. Add to this, the 'locals' who descend on it for weekends and the pool and restaurants can be under some pressure.
