While W New Orleans - French Quarter is in a relatively peaceful part of the area, frustratingly there is quite a lot of noise from within the building. The walls seem very thin, meaning that you'll certainly hear your neighbors if they are being even slightly loud. Also, you'll likely experience doors slamming throughout the night and the sound of people talking in the corridors.
You can get online in some public areas of this hotel but the service isn't the quickest. Also, if you want to surf the web from the comfort of your room, then you'll have to pay for it, as there is no free Wi-Fi in guestrooms.
Some of the bathrooms are rather cramped, which is an inconvenience. Also, they aren't very private, which might make you a little uncomfortable unless you are something of an exhibitionist.
