With a tram stop directly in front of the complex, the nearby docklands and aquarium and numerous shops and restaurants within walking distance, the apartments were well located for most guests. Many described them as the perfect base for exploring Melbourne, attending events at Etihad Stadium or the convention and exhibit centre, others said they would definitely stay again when visiting the city. Nearby grocery shops and supermarkets were also convenient for those wanting to prepare meals.

The view from the apartments was definitely the highlight of the stay for most guests. They loved seeing the nighttime lights of Melbourne Star and enjoyed the expansive waterfront vistas.

Guests generally found the apartments clean, comfortable and well equipped. They appreciated amenities such as the gym, indoor pool and spa and those travelling with families said the apartments were great for young children.

Broken blinds and chair legs, missing light bulbs and doors that didn’t shut properly prompted a number of guests to suggest that an overhaul of maintenance policies and procedures might be overdue.

Some guests complained about faded draperies and carpets, others described a generally worn and dated feel to their apartments. Management noted in response to complaints that renovations are ongoing and that some apartments have been completely redone.

There were reports of double bookings, missing bookings, duplicate charges and an air of general confusion at check-in. Some guests were also concerned about fees charged for parking.
