Wyndham Garden Phoenix Midtown is handily situated, in that it is just one block from the nearest light rail station, meaning access to several attractions is easy. The hotel is a ten-minute drive from downtown Phoenix, while Dodge Theater and Chase Field Ball Park are in the nearby vicinity.
The gardens are a delightful place to spend some time. They are really beautiful. The courtyard is also a good area in which to chill out on a sunny day.
The staff at this hotel are excellent. They will go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that you are having an enjoyable stay at their establishment, and will deal with any problem that you may have in an efficient manner.
The Wi-Fi at Wyndham Garden Phoenix Midtown is free, but it certainly isn't the most reliable. Accessing it isn't too difficult but the connectivity is quite poor, meaning that it consistently drops out.
The swimming pool and surrounding areas are pretty enough, but the water tends to fill up with leaves from the surrounding trees. As soon as it is cleaned, the leaves start to drop again. Some of the tiles are cracked and the chairs are broken.
There is a slightly run down feel to certain parts of the hotel. The carpets are a little worn and stained in places and some of the wallpaper is peeling. A bit of a revamp would help.
