Imperial Palace Classical Hotel Thessaloniki (Thessaloniki, Greece)

To most guests it is the hotel staff that made their stay enjoyable. They often seem to go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure guest's needs are being met.

The hotel is in the very heart of the city, and travellers love the fact that they can easily walk out of the hotel and be right in the in the main shopping and dining district.

Though some say that the hotel does not quite deserve s star rating, when they balance this against the rates they paid they tend to feel that they received good value.

Though it is sometimes excellent, many feel that the breakfast is a rather paltry affair, and not at all like the traditional Greek spread they had been anticipating. It seems that at busy times the hotel staff either do not properly anticipate demand, or are simply overwhelmed by it.

While some like the classical décor, others find it a bit kitsch. It has also been some time since there was a refresh, and things can be a tad rough around the edges in places.

While not a problem for the suites and family rooms, quite a few guests who stayed in the standard rooms commented that they really are too small to be enjoyable and comfortable, especially considering the hotel's rating. So small that it's difficult to even fit their luggage in the room.
