If you get the option then by all means try and book a room with a southeasterly aspect on one of the upper floors as this will provide you with a commanding view of the hotel's namesake, the Kyoto Tower. Seeing it lit up at night from your window is a treat that never gets dull!
Spick and span and then some; the interiors of this hotel are about as pristine as pristine gets. Immaculate.
Whilst not all of the guest rooms here are small (though most are) it is an unfortunate fact that ALL of the bathrooms within the accommodations are nothing short of tiny. Not compact; not bijou, but tiny. You have been warned!
It has to be said that the partition walls within this hotel aren't particularly effective. If you want to ensure your sleep isn't disturbed by noisy neighbours, cleaning staff or even (some) street noise then do yourself a favour and pack some ear plugs in your suit case.
Numerous visitors have made the observation that this hotel looks and feels like it has been transported directly from the 1980s (the pastel shades in the guest rooms suggest this may be true). Definitely time for an upgrade/refurb.
