Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort & Spa (Playa Cofresi, Dominican Republic)

The resort is massive, and clearly a lot of work to maintain. Guests felt that the grounds staff did an excellent job and kept the garden and facilities looking in tip top shape throughout their visit.

Again and again guests mentioned how fantastic the resort staff were. It didn’t seem to matter what their particular function was, guests said that they all were very gracious and clearly knew how to best keep their guests happy.

Guests mentioned that the resort had an animation team onsite to provide entertainment. They mentioned that the team was especially good and worked hard to both entertain and get the guests involved in the program.

The resort is part of a timeshare group and there are sales people trying to sell various timeshare schemes onsite. Together with the salespeople for various tours and activities, who also roam the resort, guests felt it was all a bit much. They really just wanted to enjoy their holiday, rather than having to endure so many sales pitches.

Some guests mentioned that the staff can’t quite cope when the resort is very full. They said that Dominican holiday weekends typically resulted in an overcrowded resort where the staff were unable to keep up with demand in the restaurants.

Several guests mentioned that their experience would have been quite different if they had not gone for the optional VIP package. They felt that guests without this would be missing out on a fair number of facilities and perks.
