Despite being within 3km of many of the most popular attractions in Madrid, guests at NH Madrid Sur can enjoy a peaceful atmosphere at the hotel. Staff are welcoming and attentive, speak excellent English, and fix any issues that arise swiftly.
The emphasis at breakfast is on fresh, healthy produce; with a vast range of fresh fruit, cold cuts, yoghurt, cereals and pastries offered. Hot items are available upon request and you can opt for an 'early bird' breakfast if you need to leave early.
For most guests, the rooms at NH Madrid Sur offer good value for money. Well-equipped; with air conditioning, hot showers in modern bathrooms and workspace for business travellers. Above all else though, previous guests are most complimentary about the standards of cleanliness at the hotel.
For some guests, the hotel is just a little far out. While there are metro stations, a bus and train station nearby, the City Centre is fifteen-minutes away and, for those visiting purely to sightsee, the distance may prove too far.
The hotel does have a comfortable breakfast room but does not, unfortunately, have a bar or restaurant. There are several fast-food establishments within easy reach, but many guests find they have to employ the use of public transport to find a decent alternative for dinner.
Lighting in the hotel is, apparently, subject to review and, for many guests, changes cannot come soon enough. Both the corridors and guest rooms have been described as dark and gloomy; making rooms look smaller than they actually are.
