In the quiet Aldefas area of Madrid, Hotel NH Madrid Sur is a three-star hotel a 20-minute walk from Retiro Park, with easy access to the Metro system.
All rooms are standard; with hardwood floors, air conditioning, satellite TV, safe deposit box and minibar, with a choice between Queen or twin beds.
Hotel NH Madrid Sur has a gym-free for guest use, parking- for a fee, and a 24-hour reception offering luggage holding and laundry services. Complimentary newspapers are provided in the comfortable lobby.
Continental breakfast is served every morning, and there are numerous restaurants a 15-minute taxi ride away; Ogrelo, Goya Restaurant and La Hoja, are among the best in the area. An open bar offers light snacks, drinks and sweet bites 24-hours a day.
Madrid's Art Triangle; home to the Prado and Reina Sofia are a 15-minute drive away, and the Caja Magica Conference Centre is 4km from the hotel.

Despite being within 3km of many of the most popular attractions in Madrid, guests at NH Madrid Sur can enjoy a peaceful atmosphere at the hotel. Staff are welcoming and attentive, speak excellent English, and fix any issues that arise swiftly.
Healthy, balanced breakfast.
The emphasis at breakfast is on fresh, healthy produce; with a vast range of fresh fruit, cold cuts, yoghurt, cereals and pastries offered. Hot items are available upon request and you can opt for an 'early bird' breakfast if you need to leave early.
For most guests, the rooms at NH Madrid Sur offer good value for money. Well-equipped; with air conditioning, hot showers in modern bathrooms and workspace for business travellers. Above all else though, previous guests are most complimentary about the standards of cleanliness at the hotel.
A little far from anywhere.
For some guests, the hotel is just a little far out. While there are metro stations, a bus and train station nearby, the City Centre is fifteen-minutes away and, for those visiting purely to sightsee, the distance may prove too far.
Lack of dining facilities.
The hotel does have a comfortable breakfast room but does not, unfortunately, have a bar or restaurant. There are several fast-food establishments within easy reach, but many guests find they have to employ the use of public transport to find a decent alternative for dinner.
Lighting in the hotel is, apparently, subject to review and, for many guests, changes cannot come soon enough. Both the corridors and guest rooms have been described as dark and gloomy; making rooms look smaller than they actually are.
