Metropolitan Hotel by Flemings (Frankfurt, Germany)

The location is ideal for those arriving after a long journey, just five minutes from the train station and close to buses and trams. It's also located near most of the main attractions of the city.

The staff members are extremely efficient and professional. When guests arrived during a quiet period, they were upgraded immediately without any problem. They are also very helpful in guiding guests about how best to get around the city and about what to see. Christian, the hotel manager, has impressed guests with his hands on approach, helping to serve the breakfast.

The soundproofed rooms are a good size and are spotlessly clean. The size is not less than 20 square metres per room. The buffet breakfast, which is included, has lots of choices and is much appreciated, especially the ham and cheese omelette.

It has been suggested that a refurbishment might be in order, as some of the decor, fixtures and fittings have become a little worn and tired looking over time. It is felt that the hotel could really benefit from updating its look.

Although the hotel is in an excellent location with regard to being easily reachable and having accessibility to the places of interest, it has been mentioned that the actual neighbourhood is a little dull and not exactly charming. However, the advantages of the location tend to outweigh the disadvantages.

Although tea and coffee is available in the common area, some guests found that having no kettle in the room is inconvenient.
