Motel Raider Inn (Lubbock, USA)

Reviews from previous guests have stated that the hotel represents good value for money and that although quite basic you do get what you pay for and it is affordable.

The hotel is really handily located just a short walk away from Lubbock Memorial Civic Center which hosts many different events throughout the year including concerts and musicals and in addition Texas Tech University is just five minutes’ drive away along with campus attraction such as the City Bank Coliseum and Auditorium, the Jones AT&T Stadium and Rip Griffin Park. Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport is also around 15-minutes’ drive away.

The staff are friendly and are polite and courteous to guests on their arrival.

There have been some reviews from previous guests which mention bugs and roaches in rooms which was quite an unpleasant experience and further to this the rooms are generally quite dirty and run down with some guests stating that the bed linen was stained and had holes in and others also mentioned that the bathrooms hadn’t been cleaned properly and there were dirty marks in the bathtub. There is also a strong smell of smoke in some rooms.

The breakfast offered lacks choice and the food that was offered was stale and unappetising.

There are unsavoury characters and odd people hanging around the car park with guests concerned about their behaviour. Some guests also stated that the police had to be called on different occasions due to illegal activities taking place and they didn’t feel safe at all.
