The National is a historical 1929 South Beach hotel with a 30s and 40s era ambiance, designed in Art Deco style. The hotel was recently renovated, preserving its historical character while introducing modern aspects. In 2014, the property was recognized by Historic Hotels of America for architectural authenticity.
Located on Collins Ave, the hotel has a perfect location in the heart of South Beach. Shopping on Lincoln Road is just steps away. Lots of excellent dining options surround the hotel on Collins Avenue. With direct beach access, you'll have everything you need for an ideal Miami stay.
The Wi-Fi has been out of service on several occasions. Several guests have also complained about the signal being spotty and the speed too slow.
Housekeeping hasn't been consistent with its cleaning. A few guests complained about never having their rooms cleaned. Other times, rooms were only partly made up. Requests for extra items or service were often responded to with significant delay. However, most guests were satisfied with the housekeeping staff at the hotel.
Guests ran into minor issues at the hotel like empty ice machines and the hotel being out of beach towels on several occasions. Guests also disliked not having coffee makers in the room and the lack of vending machines at the hotel.
