Set in a Georgian style townhouse, the Hotel Ballantrae Hotel was refurbished in 2014 to earn a three-star rating and includes modern conveniences to match what guests expect from a centrally located hotel. Modern rooms have private or en suite bathrooms plus television and tea and coffee making equipment. Some overlook the Firth of Forth and have features such as original fireplaces and/or ornate windows. Guests can take advantage of 24-hour front desk service. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas. The Edinburgh Tram direct from Edinburgh Airport stops right outside the hotel, or staff can arrange taxi airport pick-ups, if required. Many of Edinburgh’s central attractions, including Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, and Princes Street shops, are within a 15 minute walk.
