There have been many reviews by previous guests who have mentioned the hotel’s convenient central location and in addition there is a metro stop just a couple of blocks away so you have the choice of walking or of using transport to get around the city. Others have also mentioned that the area does feel really safe.
The breakfast offered is more than adequate and is very reasonably priced with the highlight for many being the freshly squeezed orange juice and the friendly lady who works in the breakfast room.
Staff here are always very polite and friendly and always have a smile for guests. They are also very knowledgeable about the local area and only too happy to help you with directions or to give advice on things to see and do.
In places the hotel is starting to look quite tired and run down and in need of a facelift. Fixtures and fittings in rooms are broken and not working properly such as faulty air conditioning which is sorely missed when the temperatures get really high in this part of the world.
Some previous guests have complained about the noise from fellow guests because the walls are so thin and this allows them to hear everything from the television or just conversation. There have also been reports of noise from the street especially the church across the road whose bells rings loudly every hour.
Despite some rooms being designated as no smoking guests have found that they still smelled strongly of smoke and it was quite unpleasant.
