The rooms at the Renaissance Tampa International Plaza receive much praise from guests. The decor is fresh, the amenities are of an excellent standard, and the housekeeping team appears to pay attention to detail. Furthermore, guests often describe the rooms as quiet and spacious.
The majority of guests are happy with the location of this hotel. Not only does it place you within walking distance of many shops and restaurants, it is also conveniently close to the airport and to many of the area attractions.
The staff at this hotel is often described as knowing how to make guests feel at home. A warm welcome at all times of the day aside, the on-going customer service is friendly and attentive. The staff is knowledgeable about the Tampa area and are happy to share recommendations.
A few guests were unhappy to have to pay extra for breakfast at the hotel, although many more found the charge for Wi-Fi unexpected and disappointing. In this day and age, guests are often of the opinion that free Internet access should be a given.
A small number of guests were a little frustrated by the opening hours of the club lounge. Although the facility is of a good standard, guests would have preferred that it was available 24/7.
While feedback about this hotel is mainly complimentary, minor issues arise. These include a lack of healthy items for sale in the convenience store and no covered walkway between the hotel and the adjacent shops. Several guests were also put out by the presence of a "tip envelope" in their room.
