Basye Va. is a secluded area on the Va. Wv. border. The area is filled with streams and the North Fork of the Shenandoah River. . Hiking trails in the Shenandoah National Forest ar 45 minutes away. Harrisonburg Va. home of JMU and EMU is located 45 minutes away. Chalet High is the place to come relax by the year round heated indoor salt pool and jacuuzi and get away from all the hustle and bustle.You may just want to sit on your balcony and admire nature or read. We are 2 hours from DC, and surrounde by historical small towns. There is a driving distance of 30 minutes to the closest town. The only store located in Basye Va is the small Country Community Store. You will want to bring all food and supplies with you. We provide a very clean room, all linens and towels, full nicely equiped kitchens, living rooms, dining rooms and spacious bedrooms. We have a 2 night minimum stay.
