Resort Cheeca Lodge & Spa (Islamorada, USA)

The Cheeca Lodge is the right choice of accommodation for guests planning on a tropical holiday by the beach and quiet rural settings. Being in the Sportfishing capital Islamorada, it provides a base for many anglers to indulge in their passion. There is ample scope for other water activities like scuba diving and sea kayaking. Guests can visit places of interest like History of Diving Museum and the Theatre of the Sea as they are around a five-minute drive. The resort is about a five-minute walk from The Morada Way Arts and Cultural District.

The rooms and suites are all contemporary and stylish. All rooms have balconies with spectacular and interesting views of the ocean, lagoon, pool or garden of the resort. Guests find the convenience of flat screen satellite TVs, minifridges, DVD players and coffeemakers in the rooms. Bathrooms are en suite with shower and marble tubs. Suites have rainfall shower heads and Jacuzzis set beside windows offering the beautiful views of the sea. Some suites have kitchens and pull-out sofas.

The resort has a host of features to keep guests fully entertained. Facilities for water sports, private beach, a private lagoon and a private fishing pier are part of the resort. Two heated pools with sun loungers and cabanas, a fitness center, six tennis courts, a nine-hole golf course and a spa are the many activities available for guests. Four restaurants on site serve different cuisines and the pool side Tiki Bar serves cocktails and drinks. Parking and Wi-Fi access are free amenities.

Elevators of the resort need a renovation. Guests have got stuck in an elevator for the best part of an hour before being helped to get off it. Many a time, they are out of service.

Guests have to pay a resort fee every day immaterial of having participated in any of the activities available. Guests find this unreasonable.

Air conditioners and lights in rooms are not in proper working condition.
