Positive Reviews
positive:
Resort exceeds expectations
You know that it's unlikely that you'll have a terrible experience at a five-star resort, but the Resort at Pelican Hill seems to exceed expectations. Guests describe the location as beautiful and the wide selection of facilities as especially impressive. This resort is often likened to paradise!
positive:
Brilliant location
There's not a lot you won't like about the location of this resort. The views of the Pacific Ocean and the sprawling golf courses speak for themselves, but guests are also impressed by the picturesque walks in the surrounding landscape. The resort offers the perfect blend of seclusion and proximity to area attractions.
positive:
Exceptional hospitality
The icing on the cake here appears to be the staff, who guests often describe in glowing terms. It's tricky to pinpoint individual staff as they all appear to do a great job, but perhaps the wonderful planning tips offered by the concierge team deserves a special mention.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Occasional complaints about the shuttle
This resort is so large that there is a large amount of space between the villas and bungalows and the restaurants and other amenities. There is a shuttle service, but a small number of guests found themselves waiting for up to 30 minutes for one to arrive.
negative:
Lengthy waits for room service
Several guests found that when ordering room service, the resulting wait for food to be delivered was too long. One guest ordered breakfast at 8.05am and was told it would be 9.45 before it arrived. The tip here is to order well in advance.
negative:
Housekeeping appear to work on their own schedule
Although the housekeeping team appear to do a wonderful job, it does appear that they sometimes ignore guests' requests to attend after a specific time. You would normally expect such requests to be honored in a five-star resort such as this.
