Situated on Detroit's Riverwalk, this hotel offers superb views of the river and close proximity to downtown Detroit, with its various amenities. The location is probably the hotel's most indispensable asset. The Eastern Market nearby is particularly recommended for shopping.
The hotel rooms are very clean and spacious rather than compact, which is another great advantage of this hotel. There is plenty of room to move around, giving an atmosphere of freedom. There is a good standard of housekeeping here.
The staff here is welcoming, friendly and professional, with a good customer service ethic. Always helpful, they make the guests feel welcome and valued throughout their stay. The manager himself gives guests a tour of the hotel if time allows.
Some of the guests who wished to avail of a hot shower were disappointed to discover that there was no hot water when they required it.
It is felt by quite a number of guests that the hotel is in dire need of an update as the look has become rather dated and the hotel is suffering from a rather tired and faded look.
There are no microwaves or refrigerators in the room, which causes inconvenience to guests who otherwise take such amenities for granted.
