Guests spoke highly of the beautiful beach in front of the hotel, as well as the surrounding area that felt safe and easily navigable. Some said that Royal Villas Resort might have one of the best locations in the Golden Zone, with downtown buses just outside the front door, and quick access to shops, restaurants and nightlife.
Some guests were counting down the days until their return, due in large part to exceptional service. Staff went out of their way to deliver a memorable visit, and everyone from the hard working maids, bartenders and front desk personnel knew how to provide great customer service.
Guests didn't have to look any further for fresh and delicious Mexican cuisine. The onsite restaurant was full of fabulous food options, and for a casual, laid back atmosphere, it was the perfect place.
While a number of improvements were noted by guests in the last year, there are still several reviews of worn out common areas and things that could use an upgrade. It seems, however, that management is acting on these concerns, and problems might be a thing of the past.
The swimming pool got great reviews from guests, but its popularity also meant that it could be crowded at times. Sun beds pushed too close together and a lack of towels overshadowed an otherwise pleasant experience.
