Nearly everyone had nice things to say about the food served at The Spanish Court's café. Foreign travelers were excited to try local Jamaican cuisine, and it did not disappoint. They appreciated the ample selection of gourmet coffees and teas at breakfast, and loved the cocktails served at the poolside bar as well.
The hotel describes the swimming pool located on their Sky Terrace as a "lap pool". This is accurate, as previous guests said it is little more than a single swimming lane. They would have liked something more spacious.
While stunning views can be seen from many of the guestrooms at The Spanish Court Hotel, the windows on the first floor rooms open to a wall. In addition to obstructing any chance of a view, the wall makes these rooms very dark. Previous guests recommend requesting a room on a higher floor.
Without the benefit of air conditioning, guests found the hallways of the hotel to be muggy, and in some instances musty smelling.
