The 5-star Hotel San Domenico Palace is located just a short walk from Taorminas main fare, the Corso Umberto with it's many shops, restaurants, bars and nightlife. This luxurious hotel is situated in a totally renovated monastery of the 14th century, located on a rocky spur with views over the Mediterranean Sea. Guests have the possibility to choose in between 106 rooms which are spread over the hotel's two wings, one being a newer addition in liberty style and dating back to 1896, the other one being the original 14th century convent where ancient monk's cell's have been remodelled into modern-day hotel rooms. All rooms offer views over the sea, guest accommodations in the newer wing also feature balconies. All rooms are air-conditioned and enjoy direct-dial telephones, TVs with satellite channels, minibar and wireless access to the internet next to original features and classic furnishings. International cuisine and Sicilian specialities can be enjoyed in one of the hotel's 3 restaurant while cocktails are served in the 2 bars. An outdoor pool with sun loungers and pool bar can be found in the landscaped garden from where guests have views over the volcano Etna.
