Sheraton Columbia Downtown guests reported comfy beds and pillows in their spotless rooms and also enjoyed the TV in bathrooms, while the handsome hardwood floors and charm of this historic bank won many guests over. The chic Martini Bar in the vault and the rooftop lounge did not seem to hurt, either.
Those who stayed loved the convenient downtown location, which was close to the State Capitol, a wide range of shopping and restaurants and plenty of other attractions.
The service here is said to be attentive and of a high standard across all departments, and the team was thought particularly kind by those who took refuge from the Columbia flooding events there.
A small number of those who stayed at Sheraton Columbia Downtown considered the historic building and its rooms to be showing its age, but others thought it was simply a beautiful old hotel, calling it well-restored rather than dated.
Some noise from other guests inside the hotel and from outside traffic has occasionally been reported, so ensure to take some earplugs if you are a light sleeper.
Guests sometimes found the breakfasts to be too expensive, and the lack of complimentary parking was also looked down on by some, who thought both services could have been included in the price.
