Location can't be beat at S.J Suites, perfect for those that like to hit the pavement and explore the city streets by foot. Within walking distance of many must-see attractions including Plaza Colon, Plaza de Armas, and Castillo de San Cristóbal, guests were happy with the proximity to major tourist destinations.
Visitors to S.J Suites will find a hotel that is more Puerto Rican in style and less like a chain hotel. Rooms are decorated with a mix of colonial and contemporary art, and guests were pleased to find a unique place to stay in Old San Juan.
Friendly staff were happy to help when they could. Guests mostly found that hotel staff were accommodating when issues arose such as room mix-ups or unsatisfactory cleanliness conditions.
Some guests had to get accustomed to a certain level of discomfort after finding things like limited hot water in the shower and air-conditioning that was impossible to adjust. No windows in some rooms was the straw that broke the camel's back for several guests, and they vowed never to return.
Between thin walls and the sound of car horns and street noise, many guests weren't thrilled with their accommodation. While the excellent location was enough for some to overlook the sounds of the city, others were far from satisfied.
