The rooms at Skiddaw are thoroughly cleaned with stylish decor and lots of space. Guests also reported that the bathrooms are large and luxurious with lots of hot water in the shower, the beds are comfortable and the views are interesting.

Guests reported that the always smiling, friendly staff are very welcoming and make guests feel as if they are staying with old friends. They are accommodating, requests are taken care of right away, issues are resolved efficiently and quickly and nothing is too much for them when it comes to the comfort of their guests.

Guests reported that the food available at meal times is more than enough. The meals are fresh, delicious and well-prepared with many options to choose from and the servings are generous

Some guests reported that there is a lot of noise around the hotel, particularly at night and coming from several sources including a loud nightclub nearby that features loud music, loud partiers leaving that club at 3AM and people walking and talking in nearby rooms due to a lack of soundproofing.

The food served at the hotel restaurant is of poor quality and features packaged and frozen items that are simply reheated in the microwave, small desserts, a lack of bread rolls and small portion sizes. Also reported was overworked servers who seem confused and tired and this results in slow and unfriendly service.

Guests reported that the rooms at Skiddaw tend to get very hot and windows can't be opened due to the noise outside. Also reported was uncomfortable beds and furnishings, a lack of space and old-fashioned decor.
