Guests frequently describe the rooms as very clean, spacious, and comfortable. Families, groups of friends, and extended stay travellers all love the suite layout, with televisions in the separate bedrooms and living areas, as well as the nicely equipped kitchenette area. Though the hotel is within easy reach of a shopping centre and within a short drive to most of Calgary's attractions (the Zoo, Stampede, Heritage Village), there is plenty of family fun available on site, too. Young guests love that the well maintained indoor pool has a water slide, while their older companions enjoy relaxing in the hot tub. The basketball court, covered grilling area, and the great room, which offers a free DVD and book exchange, board games, and lots of comfy seating, are also widely considered big pluses.

Many guests are happy to report a warm welcome from the front desk personnel, often commenting on their smiling faces and attentive, professional customer service. Compliments also go to kitchen staff; many guests give the complimentary breakfast high marks for variety and presentation.

Some guests are disappointed by the lack of housekeeping services on the weekends. While most find the rooms very clean, a few unfortunate oversights have been reported.

A few guests have had trouble finding the hotel from the highway, especially at night. Others have found the staff insufficiently knowledgeable about the area.
