About The National Hotel

Located in Jamestown, halfway between Yosemite and Lake Tahoe, this Historic California Gold Country bed and breakfast was established in 1859 and is one of the oldest continuously operating hotels in California. The Historic National Hotel serves as a great base for all your recreation, shopping, golf, gourmet dining and wine tasting in the Sierra Nevada foothills! Each of the nine award-winning restored rooms have wonderful brass beds, regal comforters, lace curtains, and a private bath.The highly acclaimed National Hotel Restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating in the European style. Our award-winning wine list features wines exclusively from the Sierra Nevada foothill wine region. The original Gold Rush saloon serves a variety of libations including single-malt scotches and local micro-beers. A great place for small group corporate events, parties and family functions.
