The hotel is located close to various points of interest in Salt Lake City and the Amtrak Station is within easy reach for those wishing to use public transportation. There are quite a number of quality restaurants and shops in the area. Those interested in the nightlife will be happy to find a vibrant and very diverse entertainment scene at the Capitol Theatre.
The hotel's employees are very patient and friendly. The reception staff are quite competent and excel at their duties. Guests are treated to an upbeat welcome and the check-in and check-out processes are handled in a speedy and efficient manner.
The rooms are well maintained, spacious and receive plenty of natural light. The shower/tub combination is quite roomy and the bathrooms are kept very clean. The beds are very comfortable and an adequate amount of pillows have been provided in each room.
A number of guests were disappointed to find that the hotel had limited parking spaces at the onsite parking lot and most felt that they were being overcharged to park there.
Some have expressed their frustrations with the air conditioning units in the rooms. Common complaints were with regard to the inability to maintain a constant temperature and also the noise emitted while they were running.
A few guests complained about the lack of variety and the quality of the food prepared while others were disappointed when the items they were interested in got finished and were not replenished even though it was still early in the day.
