The award-winning five star Scotsman Hotel in Edinburgh is located in the former Scotsman newspaper building. The restoration in 2001 has preserved the wooden panelled reception area, which is now a bar and brasserie, and the former printing press room in the basement is now a fitness room. The hotel has 69 rooms graded as study, deluxe, editor, publisher/director suites, baron suite and penthouse. Each room or suite is individually designed around many of the original features.
