This hotel is said to have a very convenient location just next to the Central Oslo Train Station, making it highly accessible for those travelling with the airport express train. Guests also mentioned that they found a great array of shopping options nearby, while the Oslo Opera House and the Oslo city centre are apparently just outside and there is a t-bahn station right there for easy local transport.
Thon Opera was thought to offer a high standard of accommodation, with rooms reportedly having excellent soundproofing, and fantastic views of the city, fjord and the opera house. Although most rooms were generally not thought to be huge, they were nevertheless considered to offer a great level of comfort and cleanliness, as well as strong Wi-Fi.

On top of this, the hotel is said to possess a modern and inviting lobby, complemented by friendly and accommodating staff with a great standard of English.
A small number of those who stayed at Thon Opera considered the single rooms to be too small, while others were unhappy to find a lack of toiletries in their bathroom, or said they did not have views at all.
