Ballinesker Beach, also known as Curracloe Beach, is located close to the village of Curracloe and about 6 miles from the town of Wexford. Famous as the beach where the D-Day sequence of the film Saving Private Ryan was filmed, Ballinesker is a sandy beach that has a Blue Flag award. The water is suitable for swimming, and there is a lifeguard during the bathing season. The Raven Nature Reserve, within walking distance of Ballinesker, is of interest to birdwatchers and has a picnic area.
