Bamburgh Castle dominates the north Northumbrian coastline, standing between the Cheviot Hills and Holy Island. It has been extensively restored and became the home of Armstrongs, family of the engineer and industrialist, towards the end of the 1800s. Tours include the Kings Hall, Cross Hall, reception rooms and Victorian Scullery. There are displays of china and glasswear, paintings and tapestries. The Armstrong Museum holds many artefacts from the life of Lord Armstrong. Refreshments are served in the cafe in the Clock Tower. Opening hours 11am - 5pm Daily (March - October) Tickets: Adult: £6 Senior: £5 Child: £2.50 There is a car park on site. There are some areas of limited disabled access within the castle.
