Bangla Thai Boxing (Patong Beach, Thailand)

The Bangla Thai Boxing stadium is located in the centre of Patong Beach. In Thai Boxing, or Muay Thai, fighters use not just their fists but also legs, elbows and knees, and require extensive training to be successful. An evening’s entertainment will include several bouts, starting with younger age groups and moving on to more experienced boxers. Each fight is made up of 5 three-minute rounds with three scorers and a referee. The stadium’s capacity is 350 people. The fight is shown simultaneously on a large TV screen and there is an English commentary. There is a bar and snack outlets and the stadium is ventilated by large fans.
